GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS

The GDPR places greater emphasis on the documentation that data controllers (ie mainly
Parish Council clerks) must keep to demonstrate their accountability.
Bradford on Tone Parish Council has been made aware of the various steps which it has had
to take and will comply to the best of its ability with the following steps:
1.

Information – when holding personal data the Parish Council will document where it
comes from and who it is shared with.

2.

The Parish Council will review its current privacy notice and put a plan in place for
making any necessary changes.

3.

The Parish Council is in the continuous process of asking those persons or businesses
with which they have contact to confirm whether or not their details can be kept on
the Parish Council’s list so that they may continue to keep in touch. It is important to
have proper consent as stipulated in GDPR.
