Notice is hereby given that a meeting of Bradford on Tone Parish Council will be held on Tuesday
9th July 2024, commencing at 7.30pm, in Bradford on Tone Village Hall for the purpose of
transacting the business listed on the Agenda below.
All members of the Parish Council are hereby summoned to attend the meeting.
Members of the public are invited to ask questions or raise issues relevant to Bradford On Tone
as part f the item on the Agenda called Public Participation. The overall time available for public
participation is restricted to 15 Minutes unless the Chair decides otherwise. Individual speakers
are restricted to 3 minutes and are asked not to repeat points that have been made previously.

Apologies for absence
To receive apologies for absence from Councillors unable to attend the meeting.

Declarations of Interest/Dispensations
To receive any Declarations of Interest from Councillors and Officers in respect of matters
to be considered at this meeting, together with an appropriate statement regarding the
nature of the interest.
Councillors and Officers are reminded of the requirement to declare any interest, including
the type of interest, and reason for that interest, either at this stage of the meeting or as
soon as they become aware of that interest.

To approve the draft minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 25 June 2024

Public Participation
To allow members of the public present at the meeting to raise matters which are relevant
to Bradford on Tone and / or the work of the Council.

Financial Matters

Bank Reconciliations to 30 April 2024

To consider and approve items for payment (that the Clerk has checked for
accuracy).

Review of Financial Regulations
To review the Parish Council’s Financial Regulations in the light of the new model code
published by the National Association of Local Councils.

10. Review of Internal Controls
To review the internal controls that the parish Council has put in place.

To review the Risk Register
12. War Memorial Area
To give the Clerk delegated authority to order work to tidy up the area immediately around
the war memorial, including removal of the broken wooden knee-high fence.
13. Dog Bin
To confirm the desired position of the additional dog bin to be funded by the Parish
Council (subject to the approval of Somerset Council)
14. Play Inspection Training
Cllr Smith will provide feedback from the play equipment inspection training that he
attended on 25 June 2024.

In accordance with the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, members of the public
and press are very welcome to attend the meeting. Members of the public will only be
permitted to speak during the Public Participation Session listed on the Agenda (unless they are
attending to give a presentation on a specific agenda item at the Chair’s request).
Members are reminded that the Council has a general duty to consider the following matters in
the exercise of any of its functions. There are nine protected characteristics under the 2010
Equality Act (age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation,
marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity), Crime and Disorder, Health and
Safety, Human Rights and Data Protection Regulations.
